What We Do
Nothing captures the architectural styling of a home or business better than
an aerial photograph. Its unique perspective allows you to showcase your
property in a way that stands out from all others, making your
first impression a truly unforgettable one. Viewing one of our aerial
photographs is like seeing your property for the very first time.

All successful marketing professionals know that the quality of their
advertising plays a major role in a customer's perceived value of their product
or service.
Our awe-inspiring images help our commercial customers raise the bar by turning an ordinary
sales flyer into an eye-catching promotional piece that really gets people's
attention. Some of the commercial applications for aerial photography
include land development, construction timeline progression, sales of commercial
or residential real estate, property appraisals, architectural planning, legal
documentation, agricultural assessments, site surveys, corporate marketing, and
documentation of news stories or outdoor events. Other more unique applications include landscaping layouts using a direct
overhead or "vertical" view, safety inspections at a large job site, or a photo package to be presented as a gift or to recognize a
significant accomplishment or milestone.
Some of our customers simply want to hang a printed
photograph on their wall, use an electronic image as a wallpaper backdrop on
their personal computer, or make a slide show from several images taken
during a photo shoot. A
typical photograph for a residential client might show an oblique view of their home, an
expanded view of an entire property, or an even larger overview of the
neighborhood or the town they live in.
These and many other applications are possible when our
cameras take flight. So kick back and let your mind wander as you take a few
moments to browse through some of our galleries.

How We Do It
We use electric Remotely Piloted
Vehicles (RPV’s) to acquire aerial photographs or video footage of just
about anything you can imagine. By utilizing this advanced technology, we
can offer a unique and affordable alternative to traditional aerial
photography.

One of the most noticeable advantages of using RPV
technology is image clarity. Since
we can fly closer to our subject and at lower
altitudes, a much sharper
photograph can be produced without atmospheric haze degrading the image. We
can also take off from just about any location and fly where full-scale
airplanes and helicopters are restricted.
Although our quiet, environmentally friendly electric
aircraft resemble something you might find at a hobby shop, that's where
the similarities end. We build each of our platforms specifically for
aerial photography work, and we invest many hundreds of hours into
designing, building, modifying, and testing each of the systems that
are used to make up
one of our camera
ships. Each of our aircraft are equipped with motorized self-leveling camera platforms
that can look forward, straight down, or anywhere in between. The
camera angle and shutter functions are controlled from the same transmitter
used to control the aircraft, and a wireless video downlink broadcasts a
live camera feed down to the operator, along with other critical information such as
battery status, memory card capacity, exposure settings, and current altitude.

As versatile as our flying camera platforms are,
sometimes it's better to stay grounded and mount our cameras on something a
little more conventional, like a tripod. But since we at Aerial
Tracings tend to shy away from conventional practices, a standard tripod was
simply out of the question. So for photo shoots requiring an elevated view
from 6-35 feet, we offer our Mast Cams. These modified telescopic
fiberglass monopods are typically mounted to a vehicle or "monster wagon"
depending on the degree of mobility needed, or they can be held by an
operator in locations where even a wagon is too difficult to maneuver.
Mast Cams are ideally suited for residential homes and properties, indoor or
outdoor events where large groups of people are gathered, or in any other
application where it would be nice to have an eye at the end of a 35' stick.
And because this option takes less time to set up, is easier to use, and
doesn't place our high-tech flying equipment at risk, your "base
fee" costs are significantly reduced.
